Private events
We hire the café out on Sunday evenings only, from 5:00pm.
Why Sundays
We close at 4:00pm on Sunday, which gives us an hour to reset the room. Every other night the roaster runs late or we are prepping for the morning, so Sunday is the only evening the whole space is genuinely free.

The courtyard is uncovered. In winter we can put out two gas heaters, but if it rains the party moves inside, so plan for 34 seated.

The hire fee covers the room, two staff and the coffee machine running all evening. The minimum spend is food and drink, and the hire fee does not count towards it.
Food and drink
Any of the catering packages can be served at an event, or we can put together a grazing menu. We are not licensed to sell alcohol. You may bring your own wine and beer — there is a $6 per person corkage charge and we provide glassware, ice and a chiller.
What is included
- Tables, chairs, glassware, crockery, and the courtyard string lights.
- A bluetooth speaker system you can connect to. Live amplified music is not possible — we have residential neighbours and a noise condition after 9:00pm.
- Two staff. A third is $45 per hour if you want table service rather than a counter.
Booking and cancellation
- A 30% deposit confirms the date. Dates are not held without one.
- Full refund of the deposit if you cancel more than 14 days out.
- Between 14 and 7 days, half the deposit is refunded.
- Inside 7 days the deposit is not refunded.
- Final numbers and the menu are needed 5 working days before.
